The search engine company Google is going to change the taste of smartphone users with Pie (popular dish in western countries). Google has introduced the new generation operating system Android pie for the smartphone. In March, the company launched its preview version, which was named “Android P“.
At present, Android Pie is only available for Google’s pixel smartphone, and by the end of this year, the OS will be released for all Android phones.

The Android Pie will be using AI technology (artificial intelligence technology). Google has developed the Android Pie by putting Artificial Intelligence in the center and it is considered to be the smartest Android version ever. Google’s love for Desserts
Google’s each major release is named in alphabetical order after a dessert or sugary treat, with the first few Android versions being called “Cupcake”, “Donut”, “Eclair”, and “Froyo”. During its announcement of Android KitKat in 2013, Google explained that “Since these devices make our lives so sweet, each Android version is named after a dessert”. Similarly Android Pie is also named after Pie, a popular dish in western countries.

The first android was Android 1.0, the first commercial version of the software, was released on September 23, 2008. The first commercially available Android device was the HTC Dream and the first android phone was launched by HTC on 22nd October 2008. HTC Dream which is also known as the T-Mobile G1 in the United States of America and some parts of Europe is the first commercially launched device to be powered by Android operating system. The Android Pie is Google’s ninth Android smartphone operating system version.
Preview Version in Android Beta Program
To get the feedback on the latest android version, Google launches it first in the Android BETA Program as a preview version of it. By downloading the preview version, users can report the shortcomings of it straight to Google. However, only selected mobile phone brand users can participate in the beta program.
In March 2018, Google rolled out Android Pie in its annual I/O Developers Press Conference. It was then a preview version. The company has now removed all the shortcomings and has launched its pure version.
After Google Smartphone, the users of other smartphone brands (who participated in the Android Beta program) like Sony, Xiaomi, HMD Global, Oppo, Vivo, OnePlus and Essential Mobile will receive an Android Pie update. For Others it will be launched by the end of the year.
