Four people tested COVID positive in West Bengal’s Alipurduar

Alipurduar, April 30: After the temporary relief, the news of fresh corona positive patients reports has created a quite stir in the district of Alipurduar which was earliest in the green zone. Four residents of Alipurduar’s Kumargram tested COVID-19 positive on Thursday.

According to the Alipurduar District Chief Medical Officer of Health, Puran Kumar Sharma, the suspects were kept in government quarantine center in Barobisha, Alipurduar, West Bengal after they returned from AIMS in Delhi. Few characteristics symptoms of corona infection were seen.

At the same time, samples of their swab were sent for testing. As per the report, it was known that all four of them were positive. After that, the process of taking them to Covid-19 Hospital for treatment has been initiated.

According to district administrative sources, Alipurduar was under the green zone designated by the state government and relief in the lockdown was possible from Monday. However, Alipurduar was declared an Orange Zone overnight after four of the samples tested Corona Positive. As a result, the possibility of a lockdown on Monday has been put on hold.
