33 year-old man brutally murdered in Lankapara on Bhutan border

Birpara: A 33 years old man stabbed to death at Indo-Bhutan border area in Lankapara. The incident occurred on Thursday morning in the Lankapara tea garden area under Birpara police station in Alipurduar district. The deceased was identified as 33 year old Arun Lama. He was a resident of Lankapara tg 20 number line.

According to local sources, the man was brutally hit several times with a sharp weapon while he was on the way to Pagli Khas area near Indo-Bhutan border. It is learned that Arun’s brother Barun Lama was also killed last February. The police of Birpara police station reached the spot after receiving the news. Birpara Police Station OC Paljar Bhutia said, “The body has been recovered. An investigation has been launched in this case.
