प्रेम प्रसंग के सिलसिले में प्रेमी युवक की हत्या आरोपी प्रेमिका एवं उसके पिता गिरफ्तार

बीरपाड़ा, 6 अगस्त: अलीपुरद्वार जिले के बीरपाड़ा मेें प्रेम प्रसंग पर काले दाग की एक घटना प्रकाश में आई है। शारदापल्ली, बीरपाड़ा की रहने वाली लतीफा बेगम ने बीरपाड़ा पुलिस स्टेशन में एक लिखित शिकायत दर्ज की है जिसमें आरोप लगाया गया है कि उनके 19 वर्षीय बेटे लूफ़र अली उर्फ नूर आलम इस्लाम की प्रेमिका और उसकी प्रेमिका के पिता ने उसकी यात्रा के दौरान हत्या कर दी।

बुधवार को बीरपाड़ा पुलिस स्टेशन में शिकायत दर्ज करने के बाद, बीरपाड़ा पुलिस ने तत्काल कार्रवाई की और बीरपाड़ा खुदीरामपल्ली निवासी उकबर अली (घूतू मियां) और उसकी बेटी रेणु खातुन को गिरफ्तार किया। आरोपी के खिलाफ भारतीय दंड संहिता 302 मामला शुरू किया गया है।

मृतक की मां लतीफा बेगम ने आरोप लगाते हुए कहा “मेरा बेटा आलम इस्लाम पिछले मंगलवार को अपनी प्रेमिका से मिलने गया था। वह समय पर घर नहीं लौटा। खबरों की खोज करते हुए, यह पता चला कि एक टोटो चालक उसके बेटे को एक टोटो रिक्शा में अस्पताल ले गया। अस्पताल पहुंचने पर डॉक्टरों ने उसे मृत घोषित कर दिया। मुझे लगता है कि मेरे बेटे की हत्या उसकी प्रेमिका और उसकी प्रेमिका के पिता ने की थी।”

बीरपाड़ा पुलिस थाना प्रभारी पलजोर भूटिया ने कहा कि भारतीय दंड संहिता की धारा 302 (आईपीसी) के तहत एक विशिष्ट मामला शुरू किया जा रहा है। लड़की और पिता दोनों को गिरफ़्तार कर लिया गया दोनों आरोपियों को गुरुवार को अदालत में भेजा जाएगा।

अलीपुरद्वार के बीरपाड़ा में दो अस्पताल स्टाफ सहित पांच लोग कोरोना संक्रमित

बीरपाड़ा, 2 Aug: अलीपुरद्वार जिले के बीरपाड़ा में कोरोना वायरस के तेजी से बढ़ते मामले सामने आ रहे हैं। आज बीरपाड़ा में पांच लोगों को कोरोना संक्रमित पाया गया। ब्लॉक स्वास्थ्य विभाग के सूत्रों ने कहा कि उन सभी की रिपोर्ट शनिवार रात सकारात्मक आई।

संक्रमितों में से दो बीरपाड़ा राज्य सामान्य अस्पताल के अस्थायी कर्मचारी हैं। इससे पहले, बीरपाड़ा स्टेट जनरल अस्पताल के गाइनकॉलजस्ट को कोरोना संक्रमित पाया गया था। कुलमिलाकर बीरपाड़ा स्टेट जनरल हॉस्पिटल के एक डॉक्टर, तीन अस्थायी स्टाफ और दो मरीजों के लार के नमूनों में कोरोना संक्रमण पाया गया।

मदारीहाट के ब्लॉक स्वास्थ्य अधिकारी देबज्योति चक्रवर्ती ने कहा, “पांच पीड़ितों में से एक को कोविद अस्पताल एवं अन्य चार को सेफ होम में स्थानांतरित कर दिया गया है।” उच्च अधिकारियों के निर्देशानुसार बीरपाड़ा में एक से अधिक स्थानों को एक नियंत्रण क्षेत्र के रूप में घोषित किया जाएगा।

Two miscreants arrested with illegal firearms

Birpara, 30th July: Police on Wednesday night arrested two miscreants from Birpara Old bus stand area, for possession of illegal firearms kept in car.

According to the Police, while patrolling at Birpara old bus stand area on wednesday at around 11:30 pm, one car was intercepted in which two persons were seated. The police interrogated them but they gave incoherent answers raising suspicion. On searching, 02 numbers of illegal improvised firearms was recovered from their possession.

Two detainees namely Sonam Lama (39) and Laxman Dom (23) both residents of Birpara were arrested. Both of them were involved in many crimes according to the police.

In addition to firearms, sharp weapons (sharp daggers) were also recovered from them.

Birpara Police Station OC Palzar Bhutia said, “A Case is being registered against them under the Arms Act. They would be taken to Alipurduar sub-divisional court on Thursday.”

One arrested with 22kg illegal Cannabis (Ganja) in Birpara

Birpara, 27th July: Birpara police on Sunday night, arrested a man with 22 kg of cannabis (ganja) from Falakata Road of Birpara in Alipurduar district. The arrested person will be taken to a special court in Jalpaiguri on Monday.

According to police sources, one scooty bearing rgd no – WB 86 B 7906 was entering Birpara with six packets of 22 kg of cannabis packed in a carton was apprehended on Falakata road, opposite Birpara TG factory. “The arrested person is a resident of Nishiganj, Coochbehar and he procures the ganja from Nishiganj and delivers the packets in Falakata ,Birpara & Madarihat as per the demand”, police said after preliminary interrogation.

Birpara Police Station OC Palzar Bhutia said, “SSB 17 Bn Makrapara provided special assistance in arresting the man”.

He further added, “similar campaigns would be carried out continuously against illegal drug smugglers.”

It is to be mentioned that the Birpara police station is working to break the network of continuous supply of narcotics in the adjoining areas including Birpara. In particular, many smugglers including sedative tablets, banned caffeine syrup and even brown sugar have been arrested after Palzer Bhutia took charge of Birpara police station.

Doctor at Birpara State General Hospital tested COVID positive

Birpara 25th July: A doctor of Birpara State General Hospital in Alipurduar district of West Bengal was infected with the Corona virus. According to hospital sources on Saturday, the doctor infected with the Corona virus is a gynecologist. His Covid test report came positive in the truenat machine of Birpara Hospital. The doctor was rushed to Alipurduar District Covid Hospital for treatment.

An official of Birpara Hospital said that Birpara Hospital now has the necessary kits for COVID testing. At present, Truenat Machine is being used for testing. Meanwhile, many people have come in contact with the infected doctor till Friday. Naturally, the news that the hospital doctor had tested positive for COVID-19 spread panic in the area.

Bidyut Ghosh, Superintendent of Birpara State General Hospital said, “A list has been compiled identifying about 35 people who came in contact with the doctor. They are currently on home quarantine. Their saliva samples will be tested in five days.”

Four held for theft at Nurse’s quarter of Birpara Hospital, stolen jewellery recovered

Birpara, 25 July: Birpara Police nabbed four burglars in connection with theft at the nurse’s quarters in the Birpara hospital premises in Madarihat block of Alipurduar district. Police recovered some of the nurse’s stolen gold jewelleries on Saturday. A total of four people have been arrested in connection with the theft in a few days, said Birpara Police Station OC Palzar Bhutia.

Birpara Police Station Officer-in-Charge Palzar Bhutia said, “a youth named Bisnu Mahali was arrested on Saturday and sent to Alipurduar sub-divisional court. The judge ordered 7 days police custody of the accused.

Previously on July 17, few miscreants broked into the quarter of Sadhana Rai, a nurse at Birpara State General Hospital and stole cash, articles and jewelleries. According to Sadhana, her cash of Rs 22,000, jewelery and other items worth around Rs 2.5 lakhs were stolen.

After investigating the incident, the police first arrested a man named Mohammad Sadeq of Khudirampalli in Birpara. Police sent him to Alipurduar sub-divisional court on Monday. Later, Police arrested two persons named Tapas Chakraborty and Mohan Basfor from Birpara. On Saturday, Police arrested another person named Bisnu Mahali and recovered the jewelery after searching his house.

Corona breaks all records in India, 45720 new cases and 1129 deaths in one day

The number of people infected with Corona virus in India has crossed 12 lakhs and death toll has crossed 29 thousand. On Wednesday, Corona broke all the records so far. A record 45,720 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours. At the same time, the death toll crossed 1000 mark in a day for the first time ever in the country.

Additionally, in India the total Coronavirus Cases were 1,239,684 while total recovered were 784,266 and 29,890 deaths were reported till date.

Meanwhile, there are reports of making Corona vaccine from many countries. Human trials of the vaccine are going on in Oxford and the results have been better. If the trial are successful, the Oxford University vaccine will be produced in India too.

With surge in COVID cases, 7 days complete lockdown imposed in Birpara from July 23-29

Birpara, 23 July: Covid-19 cases in Birpara is on a surge. A resident of Debigarh palli under Birpara in Alipurduar district, tested covid-19 positive on Tuesday. With this, total number of positive cases in Birpara has reached 7. With another person adding into the list, the police administration decided to Impose complete lockdown for 7 days in the area.

According to the health department source, the said person was taken to a COVID dedicated hospital in Alipurduar on Wednesday morning after his saliva samples tested positive for Covid-19. He is a businessman and regularly travels too and fro between Birpara and Hasimara for business purposes. The said person was in contact with an corona infected person from Hasimara, his samples were then sent for COVID-19 tests. On Tuesday night his test result came positive for Covid-19. Following positive results, he was taken to COVID-19 hospital on Wednesday morning.

Later the authorities declared the area under Broad-Based Containment Zone on Wednesday. A meeting was also held at Birpara police station on Wednesday and 7 days complete lockdown was declared in the area to block spread of the infection. Birpara CI (Circle Inspector) Amaresh Singh said, ‘The lockdown will start from 5 am on Thursday 23rd July and will continue for seven days. Shops and even vegetable markets will remain closed in Birpara for seven days. ‘

Four confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Malbazar

Malbazar, July 22: Four people of Mal city under Jalpaiguri district of West Bengal have been confirmed to be infected with Corona virus. It is being said that after initial testing at Mal Super Speciality Hospital, the reports of the said four have come positive. Till date there have been 50 COVID-19 cases in the city.

According to information received from Mal municipal sources, one of the infected person is an 80-year-old resident of Ward No 12 and a two-year-old child. The other two people are residents of ward No 11 and 9.

Mal Municipality chairman Swapan Saha said that on Tuesday evening, COVID-19 test report of 4 people has come positive. Arrangement are being done to admit them in the COVID Hospital.

On the other hand, the town has been put under complete lockdown and flag march on the streets is being done by the Mal Police. “People do not need to be panicked, alertness and cooperation with the administration is the demand of the time”, said an official.

Rising number of COVID-19 cases in Birpara

Birpara July 21: Another person infected with corona in Birpara of Alipurduar district.  On Monday, the saliva test report of a person in the Birpara market came positive. This has been informed by the Madarihat Birpara Block Health Department.

According to the sources, the infected person is a businessman. He lived at Bhanunagar and Birpara market area and has no travel history. Recently, he had his saliva samples tested, the report of which arrived last night. He was then rushed to COVID Hospital after he was tested covid positive. Access roads have already been closed in two places where the infected person used to live.

Incidentally, five people have been infected with corona in Birpara since July.  Madarihat Block Health Officer Debajyoti Chakraborty said another person had been infected with corona in Birpara. Necessary steps are being taken.

Meanwhile, the local authorities of Birpara No. 1 Gram Panchayat initiated the work of bamboo barricading and closing the various roads entering the Birpara Market from today.  As a result, several roads leading to the Market area of Birpara have been closed.

Ramesh Mandal, Pradhan of Birpara No.1 Gram Panchayat, said that the area was earlier declared a containment zone after a youth was tested positive for COVID. Roads in adjoining areas have been closed since another person was tested covid positive in the same area yesterday.  The infected person lived in two places in Birpara. Access roads to both the roads have been closed.
