Food Quality Raids at Birpara Madarihat : 5 Shops sealed

Food Quality Raids conducted at Madarihat Birpara today.

To ensure better quality of food and hygiene, a fresh raids were conducted at Madarihat Birpara today (26th September, 2018) for enforcing food quality standards. A total of six shops were visited by the team led by BDO Madarihat.

Out of these six Shops, five have been sealed down for bad food quality, unhygienic kitchen & storing of rotten food items. None of these shops had any valid FSSAI license also.

The names of these shops sealed down are

  • Chandrakantha Sweets
  • Sanai Mishtanna Bhandar
  • Annapurna Sweets
  • Rajesh Banik
  • Surabhi Sweets

One shop (Ratan Saha) has been kept conditionally open (but no commercial operations) since it had FSSAI Licence with a direction to improve hygiene & food quality within 14 days, failing which may result in the suspension of license and the shop will be sealed.
