Huge amount of money confiscated in Kolkata by STF

Kolkata: Acting on the basis of secret information, a team comprising of Special Task Force (STF) of Kolkata Police and some officers of Park Street Police Station jointly raided the house of a man named Mohammad Imran, a resident of Elliott Road in Park Street Police Station area on Monday, October 19.

The search of the house turned up about 1 crore 62 lakh Indian rupees. The search team also recovered some gold jewelery, two laptops, and two smartphones apart from the money.

Although Imran was not at home at the time, his family members could not give a definite answer as to where the huge amount of money and other valuables came from. Money and other things have been confiscated. A case has been filed at Park Street Police Station and the search for the missing accused is on. An investigation is underway.
