One injured as car crashed into a house in Phuentsholing

Phuentsholing, 21st September: A 53-year-old man at Kabreytar in Phuentsholing Bhutan was injured after he was hit by the window metal frame when a car crashed into his house today morning. He was later taken to the Thimphu hospital as he suffered chest and pelvic fractures, according to sources.

The accident occurred at around 8am today when a car accidently crashed into his house. The injured man does not have anyone to look after him. The 29-year-old youth who was driving the car, only had a learner’s license.

A traffic police official said that the car driver must had lost the control over the vehicle and mistakenly accelerated the car instead of applying the brakes.

Adding to it the official said, “The car fell off and crashed into the house. The window metal frame hit the man inside”.

Meanwhile, the car owner has also been sent along with the victim to Thimphu hospital. He will be charge-sheeted after his return to Phuentsholing.
