Tea garden employees & workers blocks NH317 at Birpara Chowpati

Birpara, Oct 28: Workers and employees of Birpara Tea Gardens in Alipurdur district staged a road blockade in protest against the authorities leaving the Tea Garden. They have started protesting by blocking the National Highway 317 (part of Asian Highway intersecting at Birpara) from 9am on Saturday.

The workers and employees of the tea garden have been in arrears for almost two months. Meanwhile, the garden Manager left the tea garden on 4th October 2019. Workers and employees of the tea garden joined the protest. Police are deployed at the blockade spot.
